More About Me...

Hi, I'm Veronica! I've been a part of the wedding industry for 14 years. Well—let's back up a second— even before I was formally part of the wedding industry, when I was just a little girl, I'd create scrapbooks of plans for elaborate weddings in every location and season you can imagine. I'd stay up too late clipping table settings and floral arrangements from any bridal magazine I could get my hands on. I think I had a wedding planned for every single one of my little middle school friends!

At 16, I began working at Leesburg Bridal, a local bridal shop in my hometown of Leesburg, Virginia. From helping my best friend find her prom dress, to assisting brides as they chose their dream gown; it was here at the bridal shop that I learned what it truly meant to serve clients well and build relationships with the brides and families. I also learned the value of hard work here— invoicing, purchasing new inventory, working with wholesalers for new dress selections, and providing everyday management.

After graduating from George Mason University with a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Hospitality, specifically Wedding and Events Management, I married my high school sweetheart and two years later we welcomed our first child! Just two months before becoming a mother, I was offered the opportunity to purchase the bridal shop. While it was a consideration, the timing was ultimately not right—I was in the middle of all things baby. But I've never been called a quitter a day in my life, and I was determined to work my way back into the bridal industry, even if it meant doing it with a baby on my hip. After a year at home with my son,  I decided to follow my heart and formed White Dress Black Tie!

When I'm not at work you can find me spending time with my family and friends, jet-setting to new places, shopping (anyone else constantly finds themselves in Marshalls, TJMaxx, and Target?), and meal planning and prepping!

I am so looking forward to working with couples and sharing in their special day!
